I just got a call to let me know that half of our new Bel Aire Bridal order has shipped! We are so excited to get this product in our store! We absolutely loved the bird cage veils and chic shoulder length veils we saw at the Bridal Market, so much so, that we decided to carry a few styles here at Girly Girl! Of course, we ordered gorgeously adorned hair combs, pins and tiaras to accompany the veils. The order should arrive within a week, I'll let you all know when it does arrive.

We also have several pieces from Sara Gabriel in store now for you to see! We have the Breanna, the Ariel hair pins, the Stephanie hair pins, Natasha hair pins and Desiree. Each piece is carefully and beautifully hand crafted, these pieces truly are exquisite! They are also very happy to customize one of their pieces for you. We recently ordered the Vanessa for one of our brides, but asked for even more of the ostrich feather, and they were happy to oblige, resulting in an amazing and personal piece!

The rest of our Big Buddha Bag order came in today. We now have the Alana in White, the Sedona in Ivory and Gunmetal and the Midnight in Bronze, Gunmetal, Copper and an awesome Pink. We love this line for their designer look without the designer prices! A couple of styles we currently carry can be used in multiple ways, as a clutch, over the shoulder, or even worn a la fanny pack style (except way cooler looking), which makes them an even bigger value! We got the first half of our Big Buddha order today!! These bags are routinely featured in magazines like Us, In Style, Life & Style, etc. because they look like the ones celebrities carry, but for a fraction of the cost!! I had a customer tell that me a few people even thought she was carrying one of those super expensive 'it' bags that the stars do!! But no, it was a Big Buddha bag - that she got here at Girly Girl!! We have them in a variety of summery colors, hot pink, creamy ivory, camel and green, with a few in black as well. Come now while the selection is good - these bags tend to get picked over very quickly!!

This Sunday is Mother's Day, and our wonderful customers have begun to stop in to make their purchases for their Mom's, Nana's and Grandma's! So far the Pilgrim charm jewelry has been a favorite. I just had a customer bring her little boys in this morning to pick a charm they would like to go on the bracelet their Mommy was creating for their beloved babysitter. One chose a puzzle piece, the other a book - so precious! Our tea kettle and frying pan kitchen timers have also been a popular choice, at just $10.00, they make a darling gift that all Mom's will use over and over again. Another customer chose a locket that had a shamrock on the front, she's planning on putting a picture of her two children inside. One of our brides to be, Heidi McCollough, chose tees, that spell out 'Mother of the Bride' and 'Mother of the Groom' in swarovski crystal, as her gift - how perfect! Our Seda France candles are a great choice, especially the Hyacinth and French Tulip scents, which always remind me of spring and Mothers Day. Just arrived this morning, new Blessing Rings! We introduced this new line for the holiday season, and have re-stocked popular rings, and added new rings, charms and keys that we think you will love! We now have in stock, the 'Baby' blessing ring, the reverse of the ring says 'Bundle of Joy' - so cute! We had 'Good Pet' rings, but have now added 'Nice Kitty' and 'Good Dog' to put on your pets collar. For the Story Necklaces we've added new keys, one that says 'Hope' that has the Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon on it, a 'Faith' key, 'Friendship' key and 'Love' key. Anya is a precious little girl, who is waiting in Irkutsk, Russia, to come home with Marty and Kathy Friend, who, since 2004 have dedicated their lives and hearts to adopting her. During the summer of 2005, the Friends were preparing their home and family for the addition of a toddler, whenthey got a call with the news that a woman from Virginia had killed her Russian-adopted daughter. This caused shockwaves throughout the international adoption community, and stopped adoptions to American families in Irkutsk.

After nearly five years, five trips to Russia, unceasing prayer and tens of thousands of dollars later, the Friends see an end in sight. the reality is that Anya will be a part of her forever family by her seventh birthday - the end of June 2009. To bring Anya home, the Friends may need to live in Russia for up to two months. The financial reality is overwhelming. We spent several days in Chicago to attend the Stylemax show as well as the National Bridal Market - and have ordered great new product that will start arriving soon! A customer favorite, Big Buddha bags, has a new style that can be carried as a shoulder purse, or, on your belt/waist, a la 'fanny pack' style, only much more chic! We've picked up a very eco friendly line of whimsical jewelry that is made from re-cycled bottle caps. These glitter and sequin filled baubles are proof positive that you can have fun with fashion that is not only friendly to your pocket book, but to the earth as well! When we found a new line of pill boxes with captions on them reading 'Mothers Little Helper' and 'Happy Pills' among others, we knew they would be a great fit for our Girly Girl customers! We can't wait to get them in!

Just in time for St. Paddy's Day, we've got new tees in from Save The TaTa's! These super comfy tees are white, and proclaim 'Irish Tata's, You feelin lucky?' A large, kelly green shamrock behind the logo celebrates the 'wearing o' the green' while supporting the cause! Quantities are limited, so hurry in! As always, we carry the black and white logo tees in a variety of sizes, along with baseball caps, coffee mugs, bumper magnets and tote bags. Fairy Tale Wedding Accesories Redux

Amy from Michiana Weddings asked me to write an article detailing accessories that have fairytale wedding appeal. Below is the resulting article.

The image below features a hand wrapped tiara by Bel Aire which is encrusted with mini pearl, crystal and rhinestone. This piece is very lightweight and delicate in design.

To carry your wedding day essentials (make up for touch ups, tissues, etc.), you'll need a handbag that will coordinate with your overall look. These have design features that incorporate crystals, sequin, pearl, beading and rhinestone.

These adorable shoes have a rhinestone 'brooch' that add just the right amount of glamour and sparkle! Even the buckle on the strap is made up of tiny glittering rhinestones!

Make sure your jewelry and headpiece have similar components so that they compliment each other. The tiara, necklace and earrings shown below all have pearls as a predominate design feature - and contribute to an overall, very put together look.

Head band style headpieces are gaining in popularity. The pieces below are both from Bel Aire Bridal. One is satin covered with a crystal spray, the other is completely encrusted with rhinestone.

Another headband design that has a vintage vibe - featuring a 'brooch' type design of baquette and round rhinestone.

Monogram cake jewelry has been uber popular for the past few wedding seasons, and shows no signs of slowing down! I've spotted the Johnny's Socks on Kingston, Gwen Stephanie and Gavin Rossdale's little boy, and the Pixie Socks on Valentina, Selma Hayak's darling baby girl, to name a few! We not only have both of those styles, but many more!
